Probably tomorrow, after we get a PFD* for my best friend and partner. She’ll want to paddle too.
PFD = Personal Flotation Device, a stupid name created by some governmental bureaucrat. Life Vest/Jacket wasn’t a good enough name, and since the government has so much of our money to spend, they do it this way; making up new names for things that already have perfectly good names. Even the Coast Guard boating safety instructors giggle at the stupidity.
At long last, you must feel a great sense of accomplishment Bob. It was a pleasure watching the build. Thanks for taking the time to share it and document it. Enjoy it for many years!
Thanks Jameel. We’ll see about the sense of accomplishment tomorrow when the boat gets wet.
I think of you, and your “Glide,” every time I bend down to “have a discussion” with the sticky parallel guide on the leg vice of my bench.
BTW, your bench one year later looks fabulous. I use mine differently and it shows quite a few battle scars. Yet, I’m probably as happy with mine as you are with yours. It does the job very well.

That looks fantastic. A beautiful piece of work. When are you off to the lake?
